The Actuarial Analytics team are looking for an enthusiastic Actuarial Analyst to grow and strengthen their team by providing prompt, accurate and impactful insights and pricing analysis to key external clients and internal stakeholders across all the business units.

Role Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain bespoke actuarial pricing models and other analytical frameworks (often with limited data) across both Marine and non-Marine business lines. 
  • Communicate insights from analysis to:
  • enhance stakeholder understanding of the underlying risk profiles
  • structure and price optimal risk transfer solutions
  • support brokers in negotiating competitive terms from the market
  • Identify opportunities to design and sell innovative products, alternative marketing approaches or new services to clients to enhance Miller’s value proposition . 
  • Process, analyse and interpret data from various sources (internal and external) to present analyses and reports to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Refine existing pricing methods and data analysis through the use of software and coding to promote efficency and drive automation of recurring business as usual practices within the team
  • Establish trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and communicate the modelling process, results and their significance with them to a high standard, both verbally and through formal reports/presentations

Qualifications

Working towards IFOA Actuarial Fellowship qualification, 5-8 exams remaining

Experience

2 years insurance market experience as a minimum
