As a Data Steward, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of our key processes. Acting as a vital link between the business, operations, and other central functions within Miller, you will ensure that effective quality assurance processes are in place for our business-critical data.
In this dynamic role, you will oversee Miller’s customer and risk data, ensuring its quality, consistency, and accuracy. You will be responsible for enforcing data governance policies, monitoring data usage, and ensuring compliance.You will be becoming a part of our Business Operations team, where we assist the business through various means such as management information, training, compliance, and more.Join us and be a driving force in shaping the future of Miller! Main Responsibilities
You will support maintaining and enhancing the integrity of Miller’s business critical data. Your primary focus will be on Miller’s customer and risk data, as detailed below:
Customer data - Client Hierarchy Management:
• Serve as the owner to ensure an effective client hierarchy is maintained across the business.
• Collaborate with business and operations teams to ensure the hierarchy remains up-to-date and accurate.
• Investigate the root cause of data issues and document findings in a clear and logical manner.
• Own and manage the change management process from ‘request’ to ‘execution’ of change.
• Actively engage in data cleansing within Salesforce.
• Collaborate with system owners and IT to effectively communicate business requirements.
Risk Data Integrity - Risk Status:
• Support both operational processes and management information (MI) by ensuring the accuracy of the risk status field.
• Collaborate with business and operations teams to maintain data integrity across the risk status field.
• Maintain and streamline the existing risk reclassification process.
Critical Reference Data Management - Reference Codes
• Maintain risk codes, industry, ESG, and other critical reference data.
• Collaborate with the Data and Finance teams to ensure data standards are maintained.
• Maintain governance and approval workflows for reference data changes.
Collaboration and Communication
• Foster strong relationships with brokers, the CS&D team, operations managers, the Data and Finance team, and system owners/IT.
• Ensure clear communication on data processes and changes.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
Knowledge
• Strong understanding of data quality principles and standards.
• Proficient in process improvement techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to both business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Familiarity with Salesforce (desirable).
Experience
• Prior experience in data management, quality assurance, and governance roles is highly beneficial.
