Barney began his insurance career in 2014 working for an Australian insurance and reinsurance company. He spent five years in various underwriting roles within the London marine liability team, before moving to the Houston office to run the Marine portfolio for three and a half years, focusing on primary and excess marine liability, hull and cargo business.

In his spare time, Barney enjoys playing and watching a range of sports, and has recently taken up real tennis.
