Paul heads up Millers’ Japan Property team. He is responsible for the day to day management and servicing of contracts of Japanese ceding company clients, as well as being involved in the negotiation and placement of contracts with reinsurance markets in London and overseas.
He has over 30 years’ experience of handling business emanating from Asia, principally Japan, with particular expertise in the placement of catastrophe reinsurance on large industrial risks.
Paul began his career in 1978 with Harris & Dixon (Insurance Brokers) including a secondment to Allianz Insurance Brokers in Los Angeles, before moving onto Hogg Robinson and then Willis Faber & Dumas where he was an Executive Director. He joined Miller from Willis in May 2015 and helped in the establishment of a Joint Venture platform with Willis Re dedicated to the handling of Japanese clients facultative requirements.
Paul has a 2:1 degree in Modern History from the University of Southampton. Much of his spare time is devoted to his garden and watching cricket.
