As well as leading Miller's marine division, Phil brings technical expertise in developing innovative reinsurance solutions for marine and related mutuals, both through the International Group of P&I Clubs as well as for individual mutual clients. 

Phil joined Miller in 2012, initially responsible for developing our in-house actuarial team, focusing on developing innovative risk transfer solutions and technically focused negotiation strategies. Since 2015, Phil has been responsible for our Marine Liability Reinsurance team, embedding a technical approach to our clients’ reinsurance strategies. He was appointed Head of Marine in 2019.
