Andreas began his career in 1982 as a Marine Hull Broker and after 23 years in the market joined a large Greek shipping company running their London office and heading up the insurance department for 18 years. 

He represented the company on the Members Representative Committee of the Britannia P&I Club where he also served on the Standards sub-Committee and the Election sub-Committee. 

Between 2013 and 2023 Andreas represented the Union of Greek Ship Owners at the International Chamber of Shipping for insurance matters and chaired the ICS Insurance Committee. From 2018 to 2023 he also served on the Board of ITOPF, the world’s preeminent marine pollution clean-up organisation.
