He places a variety of Casualty business including general liability, errors and omissions, environmental liabilities, and other ancillary coverages. He works on facility placements as well as open market risks ranging from SME to large, risk-managed insureds.

James started his career in insurance in 2013 after graduating with a BSc in Economics. He started at a small independent broker working on Delegated Authorities and Canadian Casualty business. He then moved to a larger independent broker in 2018 where he continued to develop Delegated Authorities offerings, as well as placing more distressed open market business. He joined Miller in 2024.

Outside of work, James enjoys watching rugby and brewing his own beer.
