Michael specializes in finding risk transfer solutions for large complex global industrial and catastrophe exposed risks be they to captives and/or insurance and reinsurance markets. In particular he has deep knowledge on the most effective way of dealing with Facultative Reinsurance as an optimal and capital efficient mechanism to protect insurance company balance sheets.

Michael joined Greig Fester in 1989 which later became Benfield and his last role was Global Head of Facultative Reinsurance. He left to join Miller when Benfield was acquired by Aon in 2008 and established the new Property and Casualty business unit.

Michael is a graduate of the University of London, he is a qualified Chartered Insurer and a member of The Insurance Institute of London. He is also one of the Executive leaders at Miller driving and implementing a diverse and inclusive change programme.

Michael is proud to have been born in Mexico, speaks fluent Spanish and retains close cultural links with the country of his birth.
