As part of our continued recruitment and expansion, we are delighted to welcome eight new professionals to Miller's North American team this month. They work across a variety of our specialist areas and you can find out more about them below.
Thomas Coates
FI and D&O
Thomas brings almost two decades of market experience to benefit Miller’s North American intermediary clients and Asia-Pacific based broker clients. He specialises in financial institutions and directors’ and officers’ liability re/insurance and has placed business throughout North America and Australia, as well as Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Harry Braysher
FI & D&O
Harry joins Miller from MS Amlin and will be assisting with account handling and broking, with a focus on the technical side of the role.
Harry will be working with Andy Brett, Abbe Fielden and the wider Professional Risks team at Miller.
Daniel Atkins
Healthcare
Daniel will be working with Charles Carr in the North American Professional Risks team to place healthcare and long-term care client accounts. He specialises in North American risks and has experience of claims handling for North American property and European sport accounts.
Phoebe Kemp
Casualty/Product Recall
Phoebe will be working with Mark West and Jamie Webb as part of the North American casualty and product recall team, with a focus on servicing new and existing clients to grow our existing book of business. She began her career in 2016 at Lloyd’s Chaucer Syndicate within the international general liability and professional indemnity team.
Josh Copper
Professional Risks
Josh specialises in Professional Indemnity Insurance, with a focus on construction professionals (Architects, Engineers, Design & Build Contractors). He will be working primarily with Andrew Bettis and the wider North American Professional Risks team as an account handler and broker.
Lauren Davies
Onshore Construction
Lauren will be working with Georgina Robinson and the onshore construction team as an account handler. She recently graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Economics and Mathematics and has completed an industrial placement in the onshore energy construction team of a London broker, gaining exposure to North American and international energy construction projects.
Michelle McGee
K&R/Active Assailant
Michelle will be working with our SCR New York team as an account handler. She recently graduated from Auburn University with a Degree in Mathematics and has previously worked at McGriff, Seibels & Williams. Michelle holds a Property & Casualty license in the US. Michelle will be working with Philipp Seel, Concetta Longobardi, Nick Barry and the wider SCR team on Kidnap & Ransom and Active Assailant accounts.
2019 apprentices and graduates Join Miller
We also recently welcomed our fourth cohort of school leaver and graduate apprentices.
A number of them have experienced life at Miller before, returning to us after completing our summer internship scheme last year, with others having been mentored as part of Miller’s new mentoring scheme.
