Miller, the leading independent specialist (re)insurance broker, continues to strengthen its newly created Fine Art and Specie offering, building out a team of sector specialists under the leadership of Annabel Fell-Clark.
The team leverages deep-seated expertise in fine art and insurance, and today welcomes Lance Thorpe as a Specie Account Executive. Lance brings over 15 years of experience across the sector, most recently working as an underwriter at Everest. He has also held both underwriting and broking roles during his career, including Parker Norfolk & Partners and Willis Towers Watson.
Lance’s dedicated knowledge of specie will help to deepen the team’s range of experiences and product expertise, across both retail and wholesale. Launched in 2023, he joins the newly created team of:
- Annabel Fell-Clark, Head of Fine Art and Specie, who brings over 30 years’ experience in the industry, having worked as an underwriter at both Hiscox and Ascot, as well as serving as the CEO of AXA’s UK Art division.
- Giovanni Sard, Account Executive, who joined from Lonmart Insurance where he focused on large global programmes and bespoke insurance solutions, and trained at Sotheby’s, working closely with various specialist departments.
- Hilary Copp, Account Executive, who brings over 10 years of direct experience working with the US market, holding both underwriting and broking roles in London and New York.
Annabel Fell-Clark, Head of Fine Art and Specie commented: “I’m excited to see our continued growth as we build a team of individuals with deep experience of the market and the products we handle. Lance's appointment further bolsters our Special Risks division and his expertise will ensure we keep delivering innovative solutions for our clients, using our profound knowledge of the Fine Art and Specie space, and wider insurance industry.”
